We have stayed at the Marywood twice now and have loved it both times. It's the only place we will stay now when we visit Saugatuck. You can walk to everything which is so nice. Jan and Gary make very good breakfasts, but also have snacks and drinks available in the kitchen throughout the day. The front porch is so nice to sit in and enjoy coffee and a good book. We found Jan and Gary to be very pleasant and a wealth of information for good recommendations on restaurants, places to visit, etc. in the area. I would definitely recommend staying here! We enjoyed a Thurs-Sat stay in the Oval Suite. The room was cozy and nicely decorated. There was plenty of room, but B&B standards and the decor was lovely. Jan and Gary, the owners, were very warm and hospitable. Breakfast was delicious each morning and they provided tea, coffee, and water to take with us for the day. Marywood is located half a block off of the main street in Saugatuck, and the price was good for the room and breakfast. We highly recommend!! Read More...
Jan and Gary are gracious hosts. Their attention to detail is amazing with all of the comforts of home taken care of. The location is excellent and there is no need to drive once you arrive. Jan is an accomplished cook and her breakfasts are excellent with plenty of variety to accommodate even the most discriminating of tastes. We stayed in the Singapore Room and enjoyed the direct access to the screened porch for both coffee and an evening glass of wine. There is also a lovely garden in the back yard which is equally as inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to another trip! Thank you Jan and Gary for exceeding our expectations. We just returned from a wonderful and relaxing weekend at this charming B & B. The hosts are warm and friendly with an excellent sense of humor. They really capture the spirit of why you would chose a B & B over a hotel. The Manor is very intimate. We woke up for breakfast and enjoyed our chats with all the guests. We laughed, exchanged stories, and we loved Gary and Jan's recommendations for what to do and where to eat. The breakfasts were presented beautifully and were delicious. There is really something for everyone. Read More...
